  • Youth-protection and emergency documents
  • Health forms
  • Medication records
  • Campsite paperwork
  • Copies of the itinerary
  • Vehicle and driver information
  • Maps and alternate routes
  • Weather-monitoring equipment
  • Charged phones and power banks
  • Leader tents and personal equipment
  • Coffee supplies—realistically essential
  • Cash or payment method for emergencies
  • Spare keys
  • Basic vehicle emergency kit
  • Jumper cables or jump pack
  • Tire inflator
  • Reflective vest and roadside warning devices

Before leaving Sunday

  • Account for every participant
  • Extinguish the fire completely
  • Pack all food and scented items
  • Sweep tents before packing
  • Inspect patrol equipment
  • Separate wet equipment for drying
  • Remove all trash
  • Police the campsite for small debris
  • Return moved campsite materials
  • Check bathrooms and activity areas
  • Perform a final buddy check
  • Conduct a final leader sweep
  • Record damaged, consumed, or missing equipment
  • Confirm every Scout’s transportation home
